Education drove the design for the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (WADDL) building on Washington State University’s campus. Scientific illustrations and DNA sequencing are the backbone of the visual style of the program with large-scale graphics embedded in the glazing, integrated into wood paneling, and at key destinations including laboratories and transitional points like the feature staircase. The graphics celebrate the site and the commitment to the betterment of animal and human health.
