Pathways

Seattle, WA

“Pathways”, a 150-foot light installation at the Allen Institute in Seattle, interprets neural activity and the experience of perception. The artwork offers a window to the organization’s open science approach to decoding the mysteries of the brain.

Colored light sequences reveal and conceal layers of patterns in the graphic. Each pattern represents some aspect of how the human brain takes and processes information and shows the vast complexity of brain anatomy and activity occurring at any given moment.
